Through Lay Ministry, First Protestant Church ministers to people who cannot participate in the ordinary life of the church for whatever reason. Many of these individuals are shut-ins whose contact with the church may only be through online or radio broadcasts. To better serve their needs, we provide spiritual friendship and the opportunity to participate in the sacraments through our lay ministry program. We are actively seeking people who would like to serve as the hands and feet of Christ for these precious people! If you wish to serve in this way, please contact the Director of Lay Ministry, Janice Borgfeld at 830-609-7729, ext. 113.
We have a variety of supportive ministries that operate “as needed”. Grief Share, Premarital Counseling, Marriage Enrichment Groups, and other ministries of pastoral care are available as needs arise. Contact the church office if there’s some way we can help or to be referred to the appropriate outside professional! You can reach us at 830-609-7729, ext. 110..
