The First Protestant Church Foundation

From Our Senior Minister

Our Foundation is the perfect way to ensure that the ministry of this grand congregation will be effective into the next generation. Any gift can be given to support a specific ministry in perpetuity. This is an opportunity for you to pass on the blessings to future generations of First Protestant Church.

Rev. Daryl C. Higgins, Senior Minister

Mission Statement

The First Protestant Church Foundation is dedicated to strengthening the long-term financial stability of the church.

Introduction

First Protestant Church Foundation will serve to provide:

• A way to give an amount for the ongoing use of the church wherein the principal remains intact and only the earned income is spent.

• A focused point of short-term liquidity management by the Foundation for the church.

What Is the First Protestant Church Foundation?

The First Protestant Church Foundation is a chartered corporation of First Protestant Church of New Braunfels, Texas, whose purpose is to encourage, establish, and manage endowments, trusts, bequests, and gifts to assist the church in its mission of making disciples for Christ.

The Foundation is designed to help one achieve Christian goals in ways that minimize tax burdens. The Foundation does this through an endowment that is invested to further the church’s ministries.

The donor, often in consultation with the directors, decides how he or she wishes to designate the legacy for the future to provide a permanent resource to witness for Christ.

Investment Policy

Effective investment policy is essential to First Protestant Church Foundation management. It is the policy of First Protestant Church Foundation that funds be invested to the maximum extent possible at a favorable risk/reward relationship. Only fixed income investments without risk of principal loss due to credit default are authorized. Equity investments are accepted as gifts and will be sold in a timely manner. Land may be held for future use.
